Salary Range: $71,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Perform inventory valuation, reconcile inventory accounts, and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor and analyze production variances (material, labor, overhead) and report findings to management.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and cost forecasts for manufacturing operations.
• Provide cost information and analysis to support pricing decisions and new product development.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within production.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) for data analysis.
• Experience with ERP system implementations or advanced module configuration (e.g., SAP CO, Oracle Cost Management).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Certification such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
